This 4* aparthotel is located 800 meters from Falésia beach, right next to the famous athletics track of Açoteias. The hotel has 121 T1 and T2 apartments, suitable for family or group holidays on long-term stays. Among the services and equipment provided by the hotel are a sports center with an athletics track, playing fields and gym, spa (suitable for high performance training), conference center, swimming pool and kids club.

Challenge

Winning the tender launched by the client, the proposal operated a general facelift in the building, giving it a more modern look, while redesigning the exterior spaces in front of the building. The refurbishment intended to accommodate a new covered terrace area, adjacent to the indoor restaurant/buffet room, thus significantly increasing the room's capacity. The innovative character of the proposal was the technical solution found for the roof: the bioclimatic and lightweight design hides a solution of rotating blades that allow opening and closing the roof plan, shading or protecting the interior on rainy days.
